Lewisville High School
$1,000
B average. Student must have some involvement in school or community activities and attended Lakeland Elementary.
From her daughter Erika, "My mother was a teacher. She stopped working for a while when I was born. I have a younger sister and brother. When my brother was old enough to start school, my mother went back to teaching high school Spanish. She transferred to teaching at Lewisville High School in 1990 when I started school there."
I enjoyed talking to Carolyn when we were at MacArthur. She was a really nice person, and I'm sorry she's gone. It's been quite some time now that she has been gone. I do not know how she died. I think she was married to a dentist and had 3 children. I took Spanish III, IV, and V with Carolyn and enjoyed being in Spanish class with her. We both liked foreign languages. I took French I my senior year, and I'm pretty sure she took French, also. I only took French I, and I believe she had more years of French than that. I'm trying to remember, but I think she got awards for top student for Spanish and French our senior year. I believe she toured or studied in Spain for awhile after high school. I talked to her at the 20th Mac Reunion. Sorry she's gone, and send condolences, although very late, to her husband and children. ~ Kathy Hamby Clark
I had few friends in high school but Carolyn was counted among them. She was such a sweet person. I liked her right away. I'm so sorry to hear she died so young.
